What do the error messages on my Quik Press mean?
A:
The error messages on the Simplicity presses notify you that the safety measures have engaged.
- E1: The pressing plate has been in the down position for too long while on. Raise the pressing plate up and the press will turn back on.
- E2: The press has not be used in 15 minutes and the auto-shut off safety feature has turned the unit off. Use the power button to turn the unit back on and reset the press to the desired temperature.
- E3: This error will occur when a sensor connected to the safety shut-off has become disconnected. Return the press to an authorized retailer for repair or contact Simplicity Homecare directly. Please do not attempt to repair this issue yourself.

Q:

The press turns off before it reaches the highest temperatures (cotton and linen)
A:
The larger presses take some time to reach the highest temperature settings. The auto-shut off feature will engage before the highest temperatures are reached. To avoid the press shutting off, simply lower the pressing plate all the way down and raise it back up to the resting position. This will restart the auto-shut off timer and will allow the press to heat up to its highest temperature. The auto-shut off feature engages at 15 minutes. Move the pressing plate within the 15 minute time frame to reset the timer. |
